Dancing on the Edge of the Volcano

 Building a Tornado
Back to Full Blog

And the flowers will bend
When the wind blows over them
And I will always pretend
Your words don't hurt or condemn

As the tornado will form
So quick and so very violent
When air was still and warm
But destroys so much in a moment

You can take a sunny day
And all the calm and laughter
Twist around, strike away
Leave me feeling shredded after

I will step out of the path
Of where you're known to blast
Leave your messy aftermath
Step away from the unhappy past

Time to find a storm shelter Heather... I know exactly how all of this feels. I hate cleaning up after the tornado.

This is the line from this one that stands out and makes me able to relate more than any other:

"You can take a sunny day
And all the calm and laughter
Twist around, strike away
Leave me feeling shredded after"

Great writing and I ahve to come by here more.

Keep smiling and be well.

Godspeed.

I know how rare a sunny day can be but never forget you still have me. When the storm becomes to forceful to care that is when our friendship we share. Keep the faith.

You are a wonderful poet. Your stuff is full of emotion and I'm glad that I came here.

I am glad you stopped RE and liked what you read. I have been over flowing with thots and emotions lately.

We seem to do a pretty good job putting each other back in the upright position, Cuddle. I have heard a new confidence in your voice and strength. Being trampled on and left for emotional death by someone that you trusted is a horrible thing to experience. You have come through it well. I appreciate our talks. You are a really great friend. Thank you.
