Dancing on the Edge of the Volcano

Adjustments

Consequences change our lives
Give our hearts dimension
Through winds and rain we learn
Where to focus our attention

When something that is lost
Can no longer be retrieved
Should we feel an anguish
Or more appropriately relieved?

We must define priorities
With regular adjustments
Based on wounded wisdom
And cradled in our judgments
